The Role

This Principal Consultant role offers a unique opportunity to drive growth and innovation within an award winning leading consulting firm which specialises in Organisational Design. As a key business partner to the Managing Director of Australia, you will have the autonomy to originate and lead client relationships, while also building and developing internal service delivery.
This senior leadership position encompasses three core focus areas: delighting clients through exceptional Organisation Design/Transformation and Project Delivery, generating revenue and fostering the company’s culture through leadership and practice management. If you are a seasoned professional with a proven track record in consulting leadership, commercial acumen, and relationship management, this could be the perfect platform to leverage your expertise and make a significant impact.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead large, complex projects ensuring high-quality deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Oversee multiple projects and client relationships while balancing business development.
  • Assess resource needs and develop commercial strategies.
  • Mobilise and manage teams, fostering professional development.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently as well as manage project risks.
  • Leverage experience to inform delivery and build client credibility.
  • Utilise commercial knowledge for effective resource and budget management.
  • Generate revenue through a strong network and subject matter expertise.
  • Leverage network to generate new project opportunities.
  • Act as an authoritative voice in OD/Transformation with C-suite clients.
  • Lead bids and pitches, ensuring differentiated solutions.
  • Evaluate client briefs and shape opportunities.
  • Act as a thought leader in OD/Transformation & champion the firm’s values and demonstrate positive leadership.
  • Mentor team members and manage performance conversations.

Your Background

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualities and qualifications:

Consulting Leadership | 

  • Senior-level experience in a consulting background is highly desirable for this role. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead Organisation Design and Change Strategy projects, as well as the capability to build internal teams that deliver exceptional client outcomes. A demonstrated track record of managing or playing a leading role in organisational design projects is also attractive. Candidates should be comfortable with end-to-end project ownership, from strategy development to final delivery.

Commercial Acumen | 

  • A consistent and proven track record originating client relationships, delivering exceptional commercial outcomes, with demonstrated commercial and business acumen in designing and influencing internal strategy and managing profit and loss.

Entrepreneurial, Results Oriented | 

  • Ambitious and agile, accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with a proven capacity to work well under pressure with an accountability mindset and a view to delivering growth and opportunity.

Relationship Management Skills | 

  • An emotionally-intelligent and driven individual with highly effective communication skills and the ability to build and maintain rapport and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. A demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional service levels to clients and quality outcomes.
